【Experience Highlights】
During the Dharma talk, a monk will explain the teachings of “Shikan” in an easy-to-understand way, offering insight into our daily state of mind and perspectives on life. By practicing a short session of zazen meditation, the teachings move beyond knowledge and become an experience that settles within oneself.
Due to the restoration work at the Konpon Chūdō (Main Hall), the Manbaidō Hall will, for a limited time, specially enshrine the sacred principal image of the Main Hall, the “Statue of Yakushi Nyorai,” along with the “Eternal Flame of the Dharma.” This is a rare opportunity to view them up close.
By participating in the visit guided by a monk, you will gain a deeper understanding not only of the architecture and history, but also of the underlying teachings of Shikan and the meaning of prayer, creating a quiet moment to reflect inwardly.
