This is a rare opportunity to not only watch the nighttime danjiri procession of Kita-Sone in the Sone/Sukematsu district of the Izumiotsu Danjiri Festival, a festival overflowing with tradition and passion, but also to participate as a member of the pullers! Participants will receive an original Kita-Sone T-shirt and headband as a gift! Wearing these items, you can enjoy a thrilling experience (nighttime procession) pulling the danjiri together with members of the local town association and children's association. During breaks in the procession, you can borrow and wear a Kita-Sone happi coat. Hold a fan and take commemorative photos with the danjiri in the background! [Itinerary] 08:00 Gather and register at the meeting place. You will be given a headband and a Kitasone-cho T-shirt at registration, so please be prepared to wear them. Staff and town association members will explain precautions and safety rules during the procession. ▼ 08:30 Procession begins (to Sone Shrine) Working together with the town association and youth group, the procession to Sone Shrine begins! Experience the powerful energy of the danjiri firsthand. ▼ Around 09:30 Observe the Sone Shrine procession and Shinto ritual Observe and participate in the procession and Shinto ritual of the danjiri from 6 towns (6 floats) in the Sone and Sukematsu areas. ▼ Around 10:30 Shinto ritual ends. ▼ Parade around Sone Shrine ▼ Around 11:00 AM End of procession into the shrine grounds, commemorative photo & social time Borrow and wear Kitasone's happi coats. [Clothing and belongings] * Clothing: Please be sure to wear comfortable pants (trousers style). * Shoes: We recommend comfortable walking shoes such as sneakers.
